Job SummaryWe are seeking a Web Graphics Designer to join Battelle’s team supporting a United States government client responsible for countering the procurement, stockpiling, and employment of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD).
This position is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities Develops solutions to complex problems in creative and effective ways by analyzing existing programs and new systems.Designs and develops user interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements contributing to the design group’s efforts look and feel of the organization’s online offerings. Responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining web-based application systems, such as user interface, or site animation. Troubleshoots and solves software issues.Performs research on technical problems and suggests improvements for web applications.Works independently and as a member of a multiple functional, dynamic team.Key Qualifications DoD Secret clearanceMinimum of 3 years relevant work experienceMicrosoft ASP.Net, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or other commonly used programming languages, Adobe Creative Cloud training/certificationKnowledge of commonly used web developing language (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, Java, Flex, Flash, AngularJS, HTML, jQuery, PHP, JSP, ASP.Net, Python, and AJAX)Problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writingAbility to work independently without direct supervision or guidance and have mastered time-management and organizational skills to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (computer science/engineering preferred)Military work environment experience
