Midstream Measurement Analyst

A top Oil & Gas company in downtown Houston is seeking a Measurement Analyst to join their Midstream Leak Detection / Measurement team and manage FlowCal and Liquid Measurements. This individual will be responsible for the coordination of measurement processing services and the analysis and validation of measurement data. They will ensure that measurement data is collected, processed, calculated and retained according to company procedures, industry standards, governmental regulations and contractual requirements. Trouble shoots data flow from field devices to measurement editing database (FlowCal); coordinates and responds to the internal and external customer measurement requests; participates on various teams that deal with current and future measurement issues; participates in the planning and growth of the department; continually improves and maintains measurement processes and associated software systems to efficiently meet business needs.
Further Responsibilities:
· Monitors incoming liquid volumes daily to ensure data accuracy, utilizing FlowCal and SCADA software tools to investigate errors
· Ensures successful monthly closing meets deadlines, completes all required close tasks per outlined standard operating procedures and reports final monthly data to downstream services.
· Builds locations and segments to be used for area balancing.
· Performs field balancing and participates in imbalance investigations on a weekly and monthly level
· Actively participates in the documentation of measurement data department procedures.
· Troubleshoot and resolve data acquisition issues.
· Performs and documents measurement system testing during upgrades prior to implementation.
· Trouble shoot data flow from field devices to measurement editing database.
· Responds to internal customer measurement data and audit requests
· Publish clear, concise, and timely communication on measurement data concerns
