**Job Description:**
We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Welder responsible for laying out and welding structural steel to construct metal structures. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in MIG welding, blueprint interpretation, and adherence to safety standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
· Weld and cut black carbon and galvanized steel.
· Interpret and work from blueprints and schematics.
· Operate hand tools, grinders, and basic shop machinery.
· Ensure products are manufactured according to specifications.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with 6S standards.
· Adhere to all company safety requirements.
**Qualifications:**
· Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and weld symbols.
· Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/32".
· Strong mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in lbs., ft., inch).
· Experience with operating vehicles, mechanical devices, or equipment.
· Ability to pass 3G/4G MIG welding tests.
· Strong experience in Flux-core and MIG welding; TIG welding is a plus.
· Minimum of 4 years of recent welding experience.
· Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs without restrictions.
· Basic computer proficiency in a Windows environment (navigation, saving, printing).
· Train and mentor new welders as part of job duties.
**Shift and Pay:**
· 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday
· Pay: $20-$22/hr (Depending on experience)
· Must be willing to work overtime when required.
