MIG Welder
**Job Description** We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mig Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate must be willing to work either the 1st shift from 6am to 2pm or the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm. This role requires reading blueprints and schematics and applying appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, or repair parts made of metal or other weldable materials. **Responsibilities** + Apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, or repair metal parts as specified by work orders, blueprints, sketches, or charts. + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics. + Lay out and mark weld points on parts or sub-assemblies. + Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools. + Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications. + Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures. + Assist with fabrication and other tasks when welding work is slower. **Essential Skills** + 6 months to 2 years of demonstrated welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. + Working knowledge of all safety procedures pertaining to welding. + Experience with Mig welding, blueprint reading, weld symbols, and mechanical abilities. + Weld certification, preferably AWS D 1.1 structural welding on MIG (3G or 4G). + Familiarity with NDT (Nondestructive Testing), including PT and MT. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with press brake, shears, burn table. + Ability to weld out of positions (vertical, overhead, pulse, or short arc). + Occasional need to get on a ladder to weld. + Experience in TIG welding, stainless steel, and aluminum is a plus. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
