**MIG Welder** **Up to $21/hr** **Job Description** Responsible for laying out and welding structural steel to build metal structures. **Responsibilities** + Weld and cut black carbon and galvanized steel, interpret blueprints. + Operate hand tools, grinders, and other equipment. + Learn and operate basic shop machinery. + Ensure products are manufactured according to specifications. + Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 6S standards. + Comply with all company safety requirements. + Read and understand schematics and blueprints. + Accurately read tape measures and perform basic arithmetic operations (Lbs., Ft., Inch.). + Operate vehicles, mechanical devices, and equipment. + Pass 3G/4G test in MIG welding. + Train new welders as part of job duties. **Essential Skills** + Flux-core welding + MIG welding + Fitting + TIG welding + Blueprint reading + Mechanical assembly + Fabrication + Stainless steel welding + Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints + Ability to read tape measures to 1/32 inch + Minimum of 4 years of recent welding experience + Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) + Ability to lift 50 lbs without restrictions + Basic computer proficiency in a Windows environment **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED + 2-year welding certificate (preferred but not required) + TIG welding experience (a plus) **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a stable job with opportunities for overtime when available.
