**Job Title: MIG Welder** **Job Description** The main responsibility of a welder/fitter is to assemble and weld aluminum and stainless steel trailers, and/or sub-assemblies. This role involves laying out and positioning parts according to specifications, welding in various positions such as flat, horizontal, overhead, and vertical, and interpreting blueprints. The ideal candidate should be proficient in MIG welding on aluminum. **Responsibilities** + Assemble and weld aluminum and stainless steel trailers and sub-assemblies. + Layout and position parts according to a set of specifications. + Weld in various positions including flat, horizontal, overhead, and vertical. + Interpret blueprints accurately. + Perform MIG welding on aluminum. + Work at heights up to 15 feet and possibly in confined spaces. + Crawl under trucks, weld on backs, and climb in and on trailers. **Essential Skills** + MIG welding on aluminum. + Blueprint interpretation. + Proficiency in using a tape measure (will be tested). + Ability to pass a weld test (horizontal, vertical, overhead passes on aluminum plates). + Welding certifications if lacking field experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Fabrication skills. + Ability to work in confined spaces. **Why Work Here?** This position is great for entry to mid-level welders looking to start a career. You can choose either a 6am - 4pm or 5am - 3pm schedule, with flexibility on Fridays for overtime. The pay rate is $21-$23 per hour, with the potential to earn a $3 increase in the first year based on attendance and performance. Evaluations occur at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year, with potential raises at each evaluation. Additional raises and bonuses are available based on performance, attendance, and production. The manufacturing floor houses 120 employees and maintains a very clean environment. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
