**Job Title: Welder**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with MIG welding, fitting, and blueprint reading. You will be responsible for setting up weld operations, utilizing temporary clamping devices, and performing finishing operations to produce aesthetically acceptable weldments. This role involves working with thin gauge steels and requires the ability to fit pieces together without the aid of jigs and fixtures.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up weld operations, including the use of temporary clamping devices to secure material prior to welding.
+ Perform finishing operations, such as removing slag and other imperfections.
+ Erect and weld standard and modified fabricated weldments from blueprints and sketches.
+ Perform grinding and fitting work as needed.
+ Read and interpret blueprints to perform layouts and setups.
+ Fit pieces together and utilize various clamping methods to secure the material.
+ Tack weld pieces in place for final welding.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in MIG welding, oxyacetylene burning, and plasma burning.
+ Ability to read blueprints and perform layouts and setups.
+ Experience in MIG welding thin gauge steels (preferably 14-16 gauge) in a job shop environment.
+ High school diploma; technical school training is highly desirable.
+ 2-5 years of relevant experience in MIG welding and fabrication.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with sheet metal welding on 14-16 gauge steels.
+ Ability to weld thin gauge (22 gauge) to 3/8” thick materials.
+ Meaningful experience in reading and interpreting blueprints.
+ Applicants with primary experience in structural steel or from Eastern Analytics or Falls Manufacturing are not desirable.

**Work Environment**
This position is located in a large, relatively clean, and climate-controlled manufacturing facility. The facility includes a machine shop, fab shop, assembly area, and engineering department. The welder will work within a welding booth and have an area set up for assembly welding. This is a 2nd shift position with hours from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 pm - 2:00 am. Overtime can be expected. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, work pants, and a t-shirt.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
