As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for horizontal and vertical MIG welding on a variety of materials, primarily aluminum. You will also perform some TIG welding as needed. You will be required to inspect your own welds and ensure they meet certification standards. This role involves working with different types of wires and materials, with a focus on producing high-quality welds.

ResponsibilitiesPerform horizontal and vertical MIG welding on various materials, including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.Conduct TIG welding as needed.Use .360 wire, 4043 wire, 5356 wire, and .035 wire.Inspect own welds using visual methods to ensure quality and certification compliance.Work collaboratively with a team of 4-5 welders on the same shift.Essential Skills1+ year of welding experience (either from school or on the job).Ability to read weld blueprints and symbols.Additional Skills & Qualifications3+ years of welding experience (either from school or on the job) is a plus.Experience with MIG welding, fabrication, blueprint reading, aluminum welding, and stainless steel welding.Proficiency in using hand tools and understanding of production welding processes.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This role is based in a large manufacturing facility that includes assembly, warehouse, and fabrication areas. The facility, founded in 1948, has a strong team-first mentality and a high level of tenure in the fabrication areas. Each welder has their own welding bay on the manufacturing floor, and all necessary welding equipment, except for the helmet, will be provided. Please note that the facility is a no-smoking property. The work primarily involves production-style tasks to create building products such as access doors, entrance grates, floor doors, fire cabinets, roof hatches, smoke vents, and stair treads and nosings.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.55 - $24.55/hr.
