Our workplace embraces diversity and inclusion – it’s a place where you can grow, belong and thrive. **Your day at NTT DATA** • Assist in the design, planning, and execution of migration strategies for moving on-premises applications, systems, and databases to AWS. • Assist in the deployment and configuration of AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and CloudFormation for the migration project. • Migrate data from on-premises databases to AWS databases using services like AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) and AWS Snowball. • Work on infrastructure automation using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to ensure repeatability and consistency in deployments. **What you'll be doing** **Grade to be offered: Grade 4** **Role tile: Migration Engineer** **Key Responsibilities:** + Assist in the design, planning, and execution of migration strategies for moving on-premises applications, systems, and databases to AWS. + Assist in the deployment and configuration of AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and CloudFormation for the migration project. + Migrate data from on-premises databases to AWS databases using services like **AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)** and **AWS Snowball** . + Work on infrastructure automation using **AWS CloudFormation** or **Terraform** to ensure repeatability and consistency in deployments. + Provide support and troubleshooting during the migration process to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance. + Document configurations, migration processes, and best practices for future reference and knowledge sharing. + Continuously monitor and report on the health of the migrated environment using **Amazon CloudWatch** and other monitoring tools. **Required Skills and Qualifications:** + Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services such as **EC2** , **S3** , **RDS** , **VPC** , **Lambda** , **CloudFormation** , and **IAM** . + Experience with migration tools and services, such as **AWS Migration Hub** , **AWS Server Migration Service (SMS)** , and **AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)** . + Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using **CloudFormation** or **Terraform** . + Strong understanding of networking concepts in AWS, including VPC, security groups, route tables, and Direct Connect. + Experience in scripting languages such as **Python** , **Bash** , or **PowerShell** for automation tasks. + Familiarity with cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and securing access to resources in AWS. + Ability to work with cloud-native monitoring and logging services such as **Amazon CloudWatch** , **AWS CloudTrail** , and **VPC Flow Logs** . + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially related to cloud migrations. **Required Certifications:** + **AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate** . + **AWS Certified Developer – Associate** (Nice to have) + **AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate** (Nice to have) **Workplace type** **:** Hybrid Working **About NTT DATA** NTT DATA is a $30+ billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
