Migration Engineer (Dynatrace)

Insight Global is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join one of our largest financial clients in Jersey City, NJ supporting the Global Mark Risk Suite of Applications. This person will work closely with development partners and other technology/business partners to provide the production support of Market Risk business applications and systems, specifically responsible for the transition and migration of ITRS monitoring system to Splunk and Dynatrace. Day to day responsibilities include the following:
1. Helping to automate the monitoring and migration of production support for the organization from ITRS to Splunk and Dynatrace
2. Identify scope for automation to reduce manual, repeating tasks. Proactively script in Python for automation.
3. Application monitoring and health check to assure system availability and stability business applications
4. Manage user query mailbox effectively for the Market Risk Space, understand the scope of teams work and ensure timely and appropriate response is provided for all user queries.
5. Production incident handling-investigating, trouble-shooting and resolving any performance issues
6. Utilize important framework tools such as ITSM, JIRA, ITRS, etc. for both making updates and producing reports.
7. Incident management - provide timely and accurate user notifications as well as managing escalations when needed.
8. Documentation and knowledge management. Assist with metrics reporting and regulatory reporting.
9. Triage-Follow up and coordinate resolutions with various development teams.
10. Coordinate and perform Business Continuity testing and related paperwork.
