Summary About the Position: Position conduct field compliance reviews of all finance operations supported by Army Military Pay Operations worldwide CONUS/OCONUS. Position is in Human Resources Command (HRC), The Adjutant General Directorate (TAGD), at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Responsibilities Development, coordination and evaluation of programs, policies, and procedures to support transition planning of Military Pay. Review MILPAY productivity reports from various systems; analyzing MILPAY transactions for accuracy and errors. Control/monitor suspense files, correspondence files, records distribution, and reporting requirements. Develop actionable products that are aligned with organizational priorities, goals, and controls for Military Pay operations. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Recommend changes in procedures and/or policies when procedures are inadequate. 2) Assists the senior Financial Analyst in preparing and advising management on the preparation of detailed budget requests. 3) Monitors other systems which interface with or provide data into the system being implemented to identify or analyze problems related to financial accounts and make appropriate recommendations. 4) Performs joint reviews, as applicable, with program managers and DFAS to ensure procedural compliance, and that corrective actions required is implemented. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management, Business Administration, Resource Management or Human Resources Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
