Military Requirements & Acquisition Support Subject Matter Expert
Amentum
Amentum’s (Formerly EG&G Technical Services) Requirements Development and Acquisition Support Team is looking for talented individuals who want to have a meaningful impact on the future of the U.S. Navy and the nation’s Submarine Force. Our Requirements Development & Acquisition Support Team directly supports senior decision makers, while working to help ensure the Navy’s two highest priority submarine programs – the COLUMBIA Class Ballistic Missile and the VIRGINIA Class Attack Submarines – have the capabilities needed to successfully execute challenging maritime operations during peacetime operations or during conflict.
We help the Navy staff define visionary requirements for future systems, sensors, weapons, and payloads. We also help advocate for the financial resources required, and we recommend tailored approaches to the Statutory and Regulatory requirements governing program initiation and execution in support of an overarching goal, which is to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of advanced submarine combat capability to the Fleet.
We directly support the Program Executive Officer, Undersea Warfare Systems (PEO UWS) staff at the Washington Navy Yard and the Director of Undersea Warfare (OPNAV N97) staff in the Pentagon.
We pride ourselves on providing meaningful recommendations on the key issues that their staff are facing – or will soon face. To do so, we work closely with the Submarine Force’s waterfront staffs, Navy labs, industry partners, and academia. Our Team also has significant reach-back to nationally recognized experts who served in Technical, Flag, Senior Executive Service, and Presidential Appointed positions.
As this is a high-visibility, high-impact position, we need individuals who are able to work both autonomously and collaboratively while navigating the myriad of policies, procedures, and complex organizational structures that are typical of the Department of Defense.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to study complex topical information from a wide variety of disparate sources and present the material cogently, both in writing and verbally.
