We are seeking an energetic, skilled​ Milk Receiver for openings in our facility in Penn Yan, NY. This opportunity will require flexibility to work weekends and overtime.

 

Main Functions: Test and receive liquid goods within the company’s specifications prior to unloading. The employee must possess the ability to operate pumps, clean equipment, keep records and follow directions.

 

The expected compensation range for this position is: $20.00/hour + $.25 shift differential when worked.

Days: 3pm-11pm, Tuesday-Saturday

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities Related to the Job: 

Coordinate KanPak Quality activities and operations to meet objective for quality, food safety, integrity, regulatory compliances, cost, safety and customer satisfaction at KanPakParticipate in formulating and administering division’s short and long range goals and objectives for business growthResponsible for working in a safe manner, supporting and adhering to all Safety policies, procedures and regulationsResponsible for working in a manner that adheres and supports all policies and procedures that support Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory requirementsTest and receive milk deliveriesLoadout cream, CIP Milk Tankers, CIP Line circuits, Test CIPChange over silos and tanksComplete all documents and charts as requiredMaintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal guidelines regarding health and safety issuesDedicate effort to safetyFollow all FDA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirementsResponsible for monitoring and taking corrective actions when necessary for a critical control point as part of the plant HACCP planEnsure all documentation is done correctly and turned in properlyComplete other duties as assigned

Social Responsibilities:    

Maintain compliance with KanPak/GSF Code of Business Conduct, policies and procedures, management systems, and all applicable Environmental, Health, Safety and other regulationsAct according to KanPak’s Creed & Values  Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Knowledge: 

High School Diploma or GED requiredMust obtain New York State Samplers LicenseMust be able to read, write and speak EnglishMaintain confidentiality of highly sensitive informationMust have basic computer knowledgeAbility to work well under pressureMust be able to complete master sanitation work orders in a timely mannerComplete documentation of dates and levels accuratelyBe an active participant in safety observation programMust be able to work any shift as schedule is subject to changeSix months to one year in food industry experience
