**Preferred Qualifications**
**Role Purpose**
The Milk Room Supervisor provides oversight to daily operations and additional support completing administrative functions critical to the success of the Milk Room. The role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency and compliance and supports ongoing education and training of new and existing staff.
**Responsibilities**
+ Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
+ Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
+ Assists with researching, evaluating, selecting, and implementing systems which improve efficiency of work unit operations.
+ Identifies and recommends optimal staffing levels and ensures the productivity and actions of the group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
+ Assists with researching, evaluating, selecting, and implementing a system for maximizing reimbursement, including oversight of insurance authorization, patient financial education, and auditing billing practices. Acts as a liaison with the finance department to oversee and update the addition/deletion of charge codes as needed.
+ Assists with the build and standardization of scheduling, registration and billing applications, including current systems and future applications.
+ Manages scheduling and support service functions and equipment support in conjunction with the clinicians
+ BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
