The role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency and compliance and supports ongoing education and training of new and existing staff. **Responsibilities** + Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. + Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals. + Assists with researching, evaluating, selecting, and implementing systems which improve efficiency of work unit operations. + Identifies and recommends optimal staffing levels and ensures the productivity and actions of the group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. + Assists with researching, evaluating, selecting, and implementing a system for maximizing reimbursement, including oversight of insurance authorization, patient financial education, and auditing billing practices. Acts as a liaison with the finance department to oversee and update the addition/deletion of charge codes as needed. + Assists with the build and standardization of scheduling, registration and billing applications, including current systems and future applications. + Manages scheduling and support service functions and equipment support in conjunction with the clinicians + BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position.
