Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mill Operator with heavy industrial experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, the ability to perform quality checks using precision tools, and experience operating various machinery. This role involves leading assistants, performing product changeovers, and ensuring the correct raw materials are loaded onto the line.

ResponsibilitiesUtilize computer to document production completion.Ensure correct raw material is loaded onto the line.Perform quality checks using micrometers and calipers.Change over products on the machine.Lead assistants on line tasks.Operate forklift and cranes as needed.Perform basic math calculations for production processes.Essential SkillsHeavy industrial experience.Machine operating experience.Ability to read tape measure, micrometer, and calipers.Mechanical experience.Basic math skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift operation experience.Overhead crane operation experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our work environment is dark and industrial with no windows, and it can be dirty and greasy. We require all employees to wear metatarsals, hard hats, glasses, long-sleeved shirts, and gloves. Our facility operates on a 10-hour day shift from Monday to Thursday, with overtime available on Fridays. We emphasize a strong team culture where everyone works together towards our production goals.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Gary, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $54080.00
