In this role, you will assemble high precision mechanical & pneumatic components into complex machine assemblies according to blueprints and work instructions. You’ll help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world. It starts with YOU.
In this role, you will:
Assemble parts, subassemblies, and assemblies per specifications. Apply basic engineering principles and consult with engineering as needed. Possess and apply knowledge of industry and Kimberly-Clark Corporation codes for mechanical assemblies as well as commonly used mechanical components, fasteners, methods, solvents, cleaners, etc.Analyze mechanical components and assemblies to identify and correct items that do not fit correctly, need adjustment, are worn or damaged, need replacement, require lubrication, etc.Read and interpret complex engineering drawings to assemble mechanical components into complete assemblies, verify individual components were manufactured in conformance to drawing specifications, and understand, and apply information specified in a bill of material.Properly select and use small hand tools, portable power tools, stationary power tools, and machine tools normally used by millwrights (e.g., Bridgeport, lathe, drill, tap, torque, torque monitoring, rivet, hammer, ream, saw, cut, grind, and similar processes). Use precision and semi-precision measuring tools as required.Understand and apply lifting and rigging techniques. Choose proper size and type of material handling equipment. Operate forklift, overhead hoists, portable cranes, chain hoists, electric and manual hydraulic jacks, etc.Adhere to all safety and quality policies as well as material handling and inventory control measures.Work an 8-hour day shift schedule, Monday – Friday, with two 15-minute paid relief periods included. Overtime as required and be flexible to work some weekends as needed to meet customer needs.About Us

Are 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United StatesHave a state and/or US Department of Education accredited high school diploma, GED Grade 12 certificate.1+ years of continuous work experience.Have a technical diploma or equivalent experience. Prior experience working in millwright trade is preferred.Must possess own toolbox with common tools.Have good math skills with a comprehensive understanding of geometry and some algebra.Have ability to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 40 lbs. Sit, stand, bend/twist at waist, kneel, lie on stomach/back while gripping hand tools. Work at various heights and in constricted spaces. Recognize colors and see clearly at a distance and up close. Have hand/eye coordination and hand/finger dexterity. Can concentrate on complex problems/tasks for prolonged periods. Have problem solving skills and communicate effectively with co-workers. All employees are required to wear PPE including ear, eye, hand, and toe protection.Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening.Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT)Experience / Specific Knowledge:
Possess basic machine shop, welding, and fabricating skills.Ability to read blueprints and related technical literature as required. Fabricate parts from blueprints and sketches.Proficiencies in the assembly, disassembly and installation of mechanical systems and components commonly found on high-speed rotating equipment and safe execution of rigging and large equipment transportation.Understanding of predictive, preventative maintenance concepts, mechanical assemblies, and commitment to continuing education.Successful candidates will have excellent communication, leadership, self-motivation, problem solving, decision-making skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a willingness and commitment to work as part of a collaborative team.Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel & Word.Total Benefits

Competitive Compensation with a starting wage range of $27.06 – $31.87 per hour depending on experience, including time and a half over 40 hours and double-time on Sundays. $2,000 sign-on bonus currently offered. You’ll also be included in our 401(k) and Profit-Sharing Plans.
