Day In the Life:

The Millwright is an integral member of the Maintenance department and is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting and dismantling machinery, conveyor systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic control systems when necessary.

This role will actively support our DE&I framework by identifying opportunities to increase the diversity of our products and brands. They will lead with inclusion to nurture our One Team culture by removing barriers for our Associates and communities.

What You Will Do:

Work from a task-driven work order system performing preventative maintenance and repairs with a strong priority directed toward material handling Equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and control issues of various systems and equipment within the facility. Respond to emergencies during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns. Testing of fire and sprinkler systems, generators and sprinkler backup pumps. Metal fabrication. Schedule, perform, and document general maintenance tasks, including repair of powered lift equipment, Pallet Movers, Hydraulic and Mechanical Docks, Doors, Batteries, Battery changers, Lights, Ballast, and minor electrical and plumbing work. Perform special projects as assigned by the department supervisor and building management. Provide training and assistance to other associates.

What Will You Need:  

Must be a Licensed Mechanic (Millwright, Industrial 433A, or Automotive certified). Must have welding experience minimum of 2 years. Must be able to work Monday to Friday with occasional work on weekends; flexible to work afternoon shifts when required. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Satisfactory completion of company mechanical and electrical tests will be required. Knowledge of high and low-voltage systems would be an asset Plumbing and Pipe Fitting would be an asset. Capability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, building blueprints, procedure manuals, and operating and maintenance manuals. Strong understanding of health and safety requirements related to maintenance in a logistics centre. Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines while working with minimal supervision. Ability to take the initiative when required and a strong sense of urgency with the capacity to accomplish results under pressure Must be able to work in a professional, fast-paced environment and be willing to deal with shifting priorities. Consistently and independently lift to a minimum of 25 kg
