JOB REQUIREMENTS

We are seeking for a qualified Millwright in our industrial manufacturing facility located in Nichols, NY. 

This journey-level position will be responsible for:

Troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repair of equipment. Designing, fabrication and welding of guarding equipment in steel, stainless and aluminum. Fabrication and installation of plumbing (plastic, threaded and welded). Installing complex machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. Reading blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

Competencies:

Must have a great understanding of angles and great skill with squares and other tools and use advanced measuring tools that use lasers. Must have thorough knowledge of all types of hand tools including fabrication tools. Must also be able to dismantle and reassemble any production equipment that needs to be replaced or repaired. Must have a thorough understanding of mass conveying, and experience with a broad range related mats and drives. Must have the ability to read and comprehend complex instructional books and manuals. Must have experience working on defective parts of machine, calibrate and/or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts. Must have the ability to connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation. Must have experience constructing foundations for machines, using related hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel to perform this task.
