**Millwright Mechanic (1st Shift, $35/hr)** **Job Description** Summary: This role involves welding, rigging, carpentry, and the mechanical alignment and installation of machinery. The candidate will be able to assess any mechanical issues involving machinery and building maintenance. **Responsibilities** + Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. + Dismantle machinery or equipment using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools. + Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks. + Using hand and power tools, assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails. + Construct foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel. + Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers, and plumb bobs. + Using hand and power tools, assemble machinery and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten it to foundations or other structures. + Operate engine lathe or milling machine to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications. + Repair and lubricate machinery and equipment. + Select cables, ropes, chains, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to the weight and size of the load to be moved. + Attach the load with grappling devices such as loops, wires, ropes, and chains to the crane hook. + Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches. + Direct workers engaged in hoisting of machinery and equipment. + Perform all duties of General Laborer, Skilled Laborer, and possibly electrician. **Essential Skills** + 8 years of relevant experience or journey’s card. + Experience in a manufacturing environment (3-5 years preferred). + Mechanical aptitude. + Welding ability. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in manufacturing and construction or warehouse industries. + Dock door repair knowledge is a plus. **Why Work Here?** After 90 days, employees receive FREE Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, and Vision.
