Location: Niagara Falls, NY

Shift: 4 - 10hr shifts 
Salary: $36.00 / hour to start and $40-$41 per hour after training completion and dependent on schedule 

Focus: This position is responsible for work in Operation, Repairs, and Maintenance of Lathes, Milling Machines, Drill Press, Power tools, and other equipment throughout the plant as needed. The MIllwright has the primary responsibility to execute mechanical maintenance tasks in a safe, efficient, and effective way according to the job package. Individuals working in this role will be required to work in both field and shop environments.

This role works as a machine and equipment repairer and performs a variety of mechanical maintenance duties at a chemical plant.  He or she will repair, recondition, rebuild, fabricate, test and perform predictive maintenance on plant equipment, tools and fixtures and also plan the sequence and method of fabrication and repair work

Job activities may involve working near molten metal, high voltage, heavy equipment, mobile equipment, moving and rotating equipment, various gases, hazardous chemicals, confined spaces, high locations (up to 150 ft.) and congested areas. Improper actions or mistakes could result in serious injury or lethal accidents to self or others. Shocks, burns and explosions are a potential hazard

Errors in work could result in loss of production at a substantial cost. Errors could result in serious damage to machines, equipment, and environment costing hundreds of thousands of dollars. Errors could result in fines or litigation awards of substantial amount, due to environmental or product liability issues. Necessity of continuous operation demands cooperation, teamwork and close attention.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED Minimum of five years maintenance work experience as a millwright (industrial setting preferred) or Journeyman level millwright designation. A complete employment application that explains a detailed work history required (resume must cover at least 5 years' work experience in a millwright position) Able to demonstrate basic computer skills, math and problem-solving; mechanical, numerical and verbal aptitude to learn our jobs quickly Must be able to work call-ins and overtime when support is needed Able to pass a functional physical testing and able to use standard safety equipment; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds  Able to climb ladders/stairs and work at heights Able to work in tight or closed-in spaces Pass a physical, drug screen and background check if job offer is received and accepted Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
