Job Title: Millwright Job DescriptionCandidates will be assigned to a large automotive facilityThey will be expected to perform service work and repairs on facility equipment Responsibilities include troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, then making the necessary repairsThe position requires shift flexibility for union workThe role will involve rigging, moving equipment, welding, dolly repairs, and dock and door plate installations and repairsResponsibilitiesMaintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workersAnticipate and respond to customer needsInspect assigned areas on a routine basis and perform maintenance to keep the facility in functioning and serviceable conditionComplete daily, weekly, or monthly checklists of pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance proceduresRepair and maintain plumbing, replace defective washers, mend broken pipes, and open clogged drainsReport any major maintenance needs and recommend corrective actions as appropriateAdhere to safety policies and procedureEssential SkillsMechanical troubleshootingService workRiggingMechanical skillsBlueprint readingPVC pipe fittingPiping installationDoor installationInstallation and repair skillsChain repair and link additionsShock repair and replacementSafety hook weldingCaster repairsMig weldingShifts

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $72800.00

Union benefits, UAW, healthcare, retirements, 401k, lots of paid holidays, time off when the plant is shutdown.
Diret hire, Union after 90 days, great benefits. Opportunity to get hired into GM after 2-3 years. GM likes to pluck people from Aramark.
