Job Description

We are seeking energetic team players to join our Maintenance Team. In addition to maintaining equipment in a fast-paced Veneer Drying Facility, you will focus on continuous improvement to maximize production and quality.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain equipment in a fast-paced Veneer Drying Facility.Be flexible and adaptable to various tasks, including sweeping floors, assisting with mechanical work, and troubleshooting.Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, not always specific to your trade.Troubleshoot and work alongside the production team to quickly address equipment issues.Conduct preventative and planned maintenance.Change belts and perform regular maintenance on dryers.Spend significant time fixing dryers, which go down about once a week.Essential SkillsRed Seal certification.5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing facility.Experience maintaining equipment such as dryers, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and pneumatic systems.Must have own tools.Open and excited about working overtime.Additional Skills & QualificationsWelding experience.Hydraulic experience.Forklift ticket (SDCB).Genie boom experience.Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.Work Environment

Work in a busy, fast-paced, and loud environment where machines run all day. The environment is dusty, and you will be part of a multicultural team of 110 employees in total, with 19 members on the maintenance team. Flexibility is required for shift times and occasional overtime or weekend work. Statutory holidays are expected to be worked unless booked off in advance, with Christmas being the only day off.

The pay range for this position is $47.66 - $47.66
