Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Millwright to join our growing team.
This position is located on-site in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Millwright & Millwright Lead positions are responsible for installing and maintaining machinery used for operations such as 5-axis mills, waterjets, vacuum pumps, cranes, etc. The primary duties are to maintain all equipment and perform repairs as needed to ensure operation and to minimize production downtime. These roles also perform preventive maintenance inspections (“PMI”) and services on all assigned machinery and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and man lifts, as required.
The following essential job functions are performed as a Millwright:
Maintains a high level of customer service to all entities within the company. Certified to operate, or able to obtain certification, for overhead crane, forklift, man lift, and scissors lift. Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs all 5-axis mills, compressors, CNC machines, waterjets, ovens, autoclaves, forklifts, and overhead cranes. Complies with all JI Safety, 5S, and HazMat practices. Will be required to be on call 24/7 when assigned on rotational call-in schedule. Possesses the ability to maintain organization and inventory of maintenance and repair supplies. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Assists and/or mentors millwrights in making repairs to mills and machinery, as OJT, depending on level. Communicates with supervisors and other leadership to keep downtime of equipment to a minimum. Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job. Performs other duties as assigned.Leads only:
Scheduling, prioritizing workload and directing employees. Possesses strong analytical, leadership, interpersonal, and mentoring skills. Reports to Facilities Manager daily.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or G.E.D. required, two-year technical certificate preferred. 1-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area is preferred, depending on level. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. Must be proficient at trouble shooting in the field. Must possess good communication skills and mechanical aptitude. Must have understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Wage range for this role is between $28 and $46 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role.
