Bahnson Mechanical Systems is seeking a Millwright/ Industrial Mechanic. This individual will repair and maintain industrial machinery at the Tri-Seal manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem, NC. The position is a Monday to Friday 1st shift. 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. May have to come in earlier on occasion to complete tasks depending on what is going on that week in the plant. Local hourly position with plenty of opportunities for overtime. Competitive pay scale varies based on experience level.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, align, dismantle, rig and move machinery and mechanical equipment according to plan layouts. Assembling machinery and equipment before installation using hand and power tools and welding if needed. Testing equipment after installation to ensure compliance and function. Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn-out pieces, and lubricating mechanical parts. Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts. Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines, and blowers. Assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures. May operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts may repair and lubricate machines and equipment. May be involved in the grouting activity for equipment base plates. Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulationsQUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the qualifications range from strong mechanical abilities with limited millwright experience to having experience working on industrial machinery.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Welding experience HVAC and Sheetmetal experience Plumbing experience, screw pipe, brazed pip, PVC, etc. Valid Driver’s LicenseLANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English.
