Job DescriptionHold safety at the highest level geared towards accident prevention and awareness following companies’ safety protocols and guidelines.Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment accompanied by senior technician. Perform routine housekeeping and shop cleanliness.Looking for self-motivated person that matches our team values.Look up parts and create parts list to assist technicians.Able to be trained on shop equipment forklift, telehandler, skid steer, for help with clean up and repairs.Job entails physical labour need to be able to work in all weather conditions.Communicate and work well with others in a team setting.

QualificationsPassion for heavy equipment mechanical or technical maintenanceGood character strives to do the job right the first time and take pride in your work.Valid driver’s licenseHighschool diploma or equivalentTechnical school would be a plus.Strong attention to detail and problem solving.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.Must be able to work shift work with 12 hour shifts.Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.Work is in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
