Chemours is seeking a Mining Engineer Intern to join our Minerals Enterprise team! This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager.
Location: Starke, Florida & Jesup, Georgia
Hours: Full-time or part-time schedule, flexible to candidate needs
Term: 3-month assignment between May-August 2025 (i.e. 3-month assignment between May-August)
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Working with experienced engineering professionals on mining, geological and operational improvement projects.
Rotating through functional minerals departments to gain exposure and understanding of the complexity of all aspects of heavy mineral sand mining industry.
Involvement in all aspect of mine planning and communicating to stakeholders at all levels of the organization via presentations, documents, and face to face presentation.
Participating in MSHA focused safety management activities and close collaboration with Operations teams.
The following is required for this role:
Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at time of assignment
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or similar fields
Familiarity with ArcView, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
The following is preferred for this role:
3.0 GPA or above
Technical Experience Preferred
Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom
