We are seeking a Mining & Industrial Growth Leader that will plan, promote, and implement the Canada Region practice vision. Reporting into the Water Business Line, the successful candidate will be responsible for the business development of the Mining and Industrial practice within Canada focusing on mine infrastructure, materials handling, mine waste management, water dams, levees, water management and treatment, and associated infrastructure. They will serve our existing clients, develop new clients, and collaborate with our Global and Regional Practice Leaders to implement regional initiatives. This role can be based out of any of our Canadian offices. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: + Helps develop and executes the strategic initiative to grow the Mining and Industrial Practice in Canada + Develops effective relationships with key clients and successfully wins work to grow the Practice + Effectively communicates client needs to the Practice and to project teams + Provide direction to and mentoring to other staff in executing the vision of the Practice + Help produce and update related marketing materials, communiques and social media presence + Leads and prepares proposals and responses to customer inquiries + Works with business line and regional leaders to ensure compliance with internal proposal and project approval requirements + Work with clients to provide long-term solutions **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements :** + 12+ years of progressive experience in the mining sector or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership + at least 5+ years of experience in client service including winning new work with new customers and achieving growth with existing customers + Demonstrated experience in pursuing and winning opportunities in Canada with a strong reputation in the Canadian mining market. + Holds a passport and able to travel within Canada and the United States of America. + Must possess a valid driver’s license **Preferred Qualifications :** + Bachelor degree in a relevant engineering discipline + 20+ years of progressive experience in the mining field with an emphasis on materials handling, mine waste management, mining infrastructure and project execution in Canada + Experience with clients in both open pit and underground mining sectors is an advantage + Highly collaborative, with the ability to build productive working relationships within AECOM and our customers + Ability to attract key staff within the Canadian Mining Market + Demonstrated experience in developing new business growth strategies **Additional Information** Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
