About the Role

We are currently seeking a Daily Scheduler to join the Mining Area C (MAC) mining enablement team on a FiFo roster out of Perth - 8 Days, 6 Off.

 

As part of the Mining Enablement Team reporting to the Senior Daily Scheduling Engineer, the Daily Scheduler will directly support the day to day operations of the mine site. The role will be responsible for the creation of the daily blend plan which drives the production of the mine site. the role works very closely with the mining production team and production coordinators to drive safe production and improvements whilst focusing on the core deliverables of maintain production and the associate production KPIs.

 

In this role you will be responsible for: 


•    Demonstrate strong safety values by supporting the Field Leadership program to lead continuous safety improvement and performance.
•    Development and creation of the Daily Blend Schedule;
•    Consolidating grades with South Flank mine to meet specific blend hub targets of our customers;
•    Build on the team's safety, culture, and performance; 
•    Identify and drive initiatives/projects to improve Mining productivity and mining processibility;
•    Monitoring stockyard builds – tonnages and grades and aligning them to the hub and mine planning targets;
•    In charge of rehandle units, to maintain grade, balancing rehandle and ex-pit feed to the crushers. 
•    Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to mining production and processing during the shift;
•    Liaising with a range of stakeholders including mining production team, processing production, mine geology, mine planning and mine control.

About You

You will have:

•    Safety focused; results driven desire to continually strive for benchmark results;
•    Degree in Mining Engineering or minimum of 2 years mining production/mine planning experience would be advantageous;
•    Thorough understanding of mining processes;
•    Clear communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership, internal and external stakeholders;
•    Have a collaborative approach, with the ability to engage and influence others and communicate effectively across multiple levels and functional areas. 
•    Strategic, forward thinker with the ability to perform in a fast paced, dynamic work environment;
•    Experience in problem solving;
