All the duties and responsibility of Sirdar as mentioned under CMR-2017 Take reasonable means to ensure proper observance of the Act and of the regulations, and orders made thereunder by persons under his charge and report any contravention thereof to his superior official Make such inspection and reports as are required by these regulations, paying particular attention to edges of the goaf, checking supports, and presence of gas Ensure no inexperienced person is employed on any work except under the supervision of an experienced person See that the roof and sides of all travelling roadways and working places in his district are made and kept secure Report any deficiency in timber, support materials, appliances, and other necessaries required for the safe working of the district Travel the whole roadway at least once in every seven days if not ordinarily used for travelling Withdraw all persons from dangerous places and take necessary precautions Take over the shift charge from the previous Mining Sirdar and note the details of Operations, Safety, Equipment, and manpower details Inspect the assigned area/district, take actions to secure the roof & sides, review daily drilling & blasting schedule, and ensure roadways safety Ensure no overcrowding of men & machinery, monitor the safe working of machineries and operators Maintain Operations, Safety, Equipment, and manpower records in the shift as per statute & DGMS guidelines Identify and manage risks to avoid accidents, enforce discipline, and update the workings tracing Ensure adequate ventilation, monitor mine environment gases, and promptly address any danger observed or reported Proceed to the place of accident on receipt of information, inspect the place, supervise rescue operations, and report the incident/accident

Qualifications:

Matriculation or equivalent degree from any recognized Board of Examination. Valid Mining Sirdar certificate of competency issued by DGMS Valid Gas Testing Certificate Valid First Aid Certificate

Experience:

2-5 years ( at least 2 years experience in UG coal mining )
