Volunteers of America (VOA) is a faith-based, nationwide nonprofit organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. VOA is seeking an Intern to support our Ministry Development team. This team works to position VOA's Ministry of Service and Church Without Walls to lead a movement of non-biased, nonprescriptive faith-based programs, resources and initiatives to growing populations of vulnerable individuals.
This position is part-time (up to 20 hours per week) and allows for On-Site or Hybrid work schedules
The internship is unpaid, however, a stipend is provided
The selected candidate will have an exciting opportunity to support this team’s administrative, education and event activities! The Ministry Development teams' 5- year strategic goals include (but are not limited to):
Spiritual Inspiration Ministry Development office ambassadorship National office integration and partnership Consistent marketing Regular evaluation Employee engagementPrimary Responsibilities:
Assist with research for Ministry Development education and training Assist with research and content creation for Ministry Development marketing materials Affiliate and minister outreach for various Ministry Development programs Assist with the onboarding of VOA ministers into Ministry Developments new databaseQualifications:
Strong oral and written communication and collaboration skills Excellent analytical and research skills Experience with document layout and design utilizing the Microsoft Office suite and other computer programs Must be comfortable working with the public and organizing work to meet specific deadlinesPhysical Capabilities:
Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs. Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periodsWorking Conditions:

Education and Experience:
