Program Summary
The MISS program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at supporting the US Department of State’s operations in Iraq. In addition to providing ongoing base operations and Life Support Services, KBR will provide differentiated advisory and consultancy capabilities to the Iraqi Government with a focus on creating an effective program environment to support delivery of strategic economic planning, strategy development, feasibility studies, technical reviews and large-scale project management. Under this contract KBR will provide facility maintenance, procurement, critical supply functions, along with foodservice, base camp operations, renovations, construction, and medical services.
Job Summary
The Plumbing Supervisor will serve the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Plus task order in support of the U.S. Department of State (DOS). The Plumbing Supervisor is responsible for performing plumbing requirements on O&M, small construction, remodeling and renovation projects. This position provides supervision. Leadership, oversight and associated responsibilities to the plumbing team and performs a variety of plumbing trade functions, such as the installation, maintenance or repair of equipment. The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
Comply with all Environmental & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
Provide supervision, leadership, oversight and associated responsibilities for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all plumbing systems, both exterior and interior, in multiple buildings and living quarters, including the kitchen facility.
Duties include, but are not limited to, all preventative maintenance, repairs and new installations per applicable codes and industry standards as follows:
o All water systems with associated pressure pumps, piping, fittings, valves, storage tanks, electric water heaters and sump pumps.
o Plumbing fixtures: sinks, showers, tubs, toilets, faucets and kitchen equipment.
o All sewer and drain systems with associated piping, fittings, lift stations, grease traps, roof drains and drain cleaning.
o Fuel piping for power generators.
Read and understand blueprints, drawings and specifications.
Inspect structures to ascertain obstructions that would compromise the structural integrity of the building. Coordinate with other trades to avoid conflict between the plumbing and other work.
Lay out all plumbing systems to be straight, plumb and on grade as needed. For remodeling, ability to determine possible obstructions before drilling holes in finished walls, floors or ceilings.
Responsible for the daily work schedules.
Track preventative maintenance and make changes as needed.
Plan and estimate labor and materials for future projects. Order materials and equipment needed for projects.
Track and order materials and equipment for daily operations.
Maintain accurate records for safety meetings, work hours, work orders, training and inventory of shop stock materials, tools and equipment.
Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure all workers follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
Prepare appropriate documents for digging and space permits, and, as needed, Job hazardous Analyst (JHA) forms.
Work and coordinate with plumbing foreman and plumbing leads to delegate responsibility so there is cross training to account for days off and
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Plumber vocational diploma or successful completion of an apprentice program with a Journeyman License or equivalent experience.
Two (2) years’ experience as a Master Plumber, ten (10) years’ experience as a Journeyman Plumber, or meet any U.S. state licensing board requirements for a Master Plumber license.
Three (3) years’ supervisory experience in the plumbing trade.
Experience working with CPVC, PVC, PEX, copper, galvanized steel and brass pipe and fittings.
US Citizen
US Passport with minimum one plus year validity remaining.
Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Must currently possess a U.S. Government (USG) issued Secret security clearance and /or a favorable USG Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) certification prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required clearance or certification level for the duration of the task order.
Preferred Qualifications
Expert knowledge of all plumbing installations and repairs, to include but not limited to, plumbing fixtures and faucets, water and drain systems, water pumps, sump pumps, sewage lift stations, grease traps and fuel piping.
Ability to use equipment and tools of the trade, such as drills, saws, grinders, threading equipment, drain cleaning equipment, portable pumps and air compressors.
Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting plumbing functions at an overseas facility.
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
Expert computer skills, specifically Microsoft Project, Word and Excel.
Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.
Ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.
