Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Mission Assurance Engineer 2/3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be onsite in Melbourne, FL. You will furnish quality first technical support, independent of Engineering, through early intervention and understanding of design requirements.  Provide design review during development and integration efforts to drive process adherence during the Engineering Manufacture and Development phase. Deliver focused efforts in design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, research and development as they apply to the program quality statement of work. Evaluate corrective measures to ensure process revision meets acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with program requirements.

Attend program gateway events to ensure proactive mission assurance engagement. Deliver mission assurance statusing through daily/weekly metrics. Prepare test failure, malfunction and corrective action reports while holding the supplier accountable for root cause and corrective action deliverables. Review all necessary customer, supplier, product and system documentation to ensure process compliance and requirement needs are met. Work closely with program partners to validate flow of supplier requirements. Plan and develop the required processes to identify potential product performance impacts as early as possible. Deliver product development engagement through oversight of supplier processes, procedures and standard adherence to ensure that product design continuously meets customer requirements. Oversee product qualification testing and provide guidance when needed. Provide program integration testing oversight via test procedure review, test witnessing troubleshooting and buy off.

Execute functions through compliance review of Supplier Data Requirements Lists, Acceptance Test Procedures, Qualification Test Procedures, Supplier Statement of Work, Program Specifications.  Support Supplier Management Teams, Subcontract Administrators, Supplier Quality, Quality Field Engineers, Responsible Engineers, Test Engineers, Safety Engineers, Materials and Process Engineers, and Reliability Engineers to verify compliance to standards and contractual requirements.  Perform audits to identify deficiencies, nonconformances, and negative performance trends and failures. High level organizational skills to support concurrent taskings along with strong computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline2 years' Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Change Management or Program Integration; 0 years with MastersActive DoD Secret clearance with the ability obtain Interim Top Secret Clearance prior to start with permanent award of Top-Secret clearance required.Proficient in knowledge of AS9100 standards. Proficient in Lean Six Sigma and Root Cause Analysis processes.

Principal Mission Assurance Engineer:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline5 years' Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Change Management or Program Integration; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhDActive DoD Secret clearance with the ability obtain Interim Top-Secret Clearance prior to start with permanent award of Top-Secret clearance required.Proficient in knowledge of AS9100 standards. Proficient in Lean Six Sigma and Root Cause Analysis processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Aerospace, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering backgroundExperience performing drawing reviews and using modeling tools, such as NXKnowledge of the NGAS CLMT process, CheckMate and DFM Pro toolset.Active DoD Top Secret clearance (in-scope)

Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00Salary Range 2: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
