Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics System sector is hiring a Mission Assurance Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the F-35 program. The Mission Assurance Manager 3 has responsibility for quality requirements across the F-35 program by providing leadership and management to assigned personnel. This leadership opportunity will be located in Palmdale, CA.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for implanting projects for process improvement and increasing efficiencies
Creating a method of standardization across cost centers and shifts
Responsible for the project performance planning, risk management, technical quality, cost, schedule and factory accountability oversight for Special Programs Global Mission Excellence statements of work.
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is aligned with requirements.
Act with agility to business needs and interact in collaborative way to empower diverse, cross functional teams, including both internal and external members to achieve positive business results, including operating decisions, scheduling requirements and contractual clarification.
May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of experience in the Quality, Mission Assurance, Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industries or a Masters Degree and 7 years of experience in Quality, Mission Assurance, Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industries
A minimum of 7 years leadership experience
Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action
Must be able to acquire a DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Strong orientation to change in a dynamic environment
Sophisticated level of understanding of complex quality policies, procedures, governmental regulations and work flow.
Ability to analyze alternative courses of action where decisions have risk/reward implications for program or area of Influence.
Salary Range: $170,000.00 - $255,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
