MISSION INTEGRATION SPECIALIST SpaceX's rapid growth and busy manifest has created a new opening on our Customer Operations and Integration team. A Mission Integration Specialist will be instrumental in providing consistently world-class support to our customers. Working closely with Cape Canaveral Mission Integration Engineers, traveling mission managers, and the entire launch team, the Mission Integration Specialist will assist in all launch site activities associated with current and future spacecraft missions. This is a hands-on role and will require the ability to represent SpaceX effectively with customer representatives. Travel may be required to support operations at other SpaceX locations. RESPONSIBILITIES: + Support launch site mission management team with daily payload and customer activities + Provide feedback to launch site Mission Integrators on process improvements, and assist with all improvement implementation + Modify ground support equipment, and reconfigure processing facilities to accommodate unique customer needs + Coordinate cleanroom entry and exit for SpaceX and customer personnel and hardware + Conduct hands-on operations with large and small, fragile payload assemblies + Support transportation and logistics efforts for launch and processing-critical equipment and supplies + Support the integration team during payload checkouts BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: + High school diploma or equivalency certificate + 5+ years of professional experience interpreting technical data and using manual and powered tools PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: + A&P certification or associates degree in a STEM field + CDL driver's license certification + Proficiency in or hands-on professional experience with launch vehicle and/or spacecraft integration including operations in 100,000 class or cleaner cleanrooms + Experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, and aerial lifts + Experience working with cross-functional teams and external customers + Superb verbal communication + Strong analytical, computer, and written communication skills + Knowledge of pressure, temperature and flow measurement devices, and mechanical and electrical systems ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: + Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance or ability to successfully complete a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) preferred. Must be willing to pursue a clearance if not already cleared. Note that an active clearance may provide the opportunity for you to work on sensitive SpaceX missions. If so, you will be subject to pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing + Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg + Must be willing to work overtime and occasional weekends when necessary to support launch and critical project timelines + Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted + Flight hardware is built in tight quarters - physical dexterity is required + Occasionally exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments - heat, cold, rain, ice + Work performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Pay range: Mission Integration Specialist/Level 1: $30.00 - $38.00/hour Mission Integration Specialist/Level 2: $34.00 - $43.00/hour Mission Integration Specialist/Level 3: $38.00 - $48.00/hour Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
