**Description** SAIC is seeking a **Mission Systems Engineer** with NRO experience to provide Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services to a rapidly expanding Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer. This position supports a System Program Office (SPO) in a technical capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of system development and acquisitions that advance the NRO’s space resiliency posture. The Mission Systems Engineer will work in a collaborative team environment supporting systems engineering, mission analysis, and transition activities to address some of the space community’s most challenging problems. **Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:** + Perform analysis and evaluations of systems and track resulting metrics + Study and analyze a wide variety of interesting and complex problems + Assess relevant current and future technologies for insertion + Evaluate enterprise verification and validation testing + Review and analyze discrepancy reports + Assess labor, schedules, and resources required for integrating, testing, validating and transitioning systems + Capture and document lessons learned and best practices **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in Systems, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Test engineering, or scientific/technical discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience + Experience in engineering analysis (collecting, organizing, analyzing data) and/or mission/ops/ground support experience + Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph + Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills + Strong written and interpersonal skills + Modeling and simulation experience using one or more of the following desired: C++, Python, R, SQL, PostgreSQL, Linux, MATLAB, VBA, or STK + Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
