**Job Title: Mixer Operator**
**Job Description**
The Mixer Operator is responsible for making batches of material in accordance with customer specifications. This role involves weighing materials, cleaning the mixing area, and troubleshooting any mixing problems. Additionally, the Mixer Operator is responsible for various tasks as assigned by the Manager or Group Leader.
**Responsibilities**
+ Review Mixing Schedule
+ Produce batches in the mixer as scheduled
+ Inspect reconditioned drums prior to use as per MS 9.1/3-43
+ Dump batches from mixers
+ Communicate with the previous mixerman to discuss any irregularities or special instructions
+ Produce standard production batches by following the Mixing Procedure
+ Notify Group Leader and QA of any abnormalities in the batch
+ Maintain correct identification on batches
+ Complete necessary paperwork correctly and timely, including batch tickets and mixing dump reports
+ Inform Manager of any unidentified or mis-identified batches, drums, or raw materials, as well as any safety or maintenance concerns

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to operate forklift
+ Ability to lift up to 60lbs repeatedly
+ Comfortable working in a facility with strong odor
+ Pass a skills key test
+ Pass an audiogram test
+ High school diploma/GED or equivalent
+ Prior industrial cleaning or housekeeping experience
+ Chemical manufacturing experience
+ Batch production experience
+ Mixing operator experience

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a chemical plant with 98% automotive material production. It features a climate-controlled environment. Employees will be exposed to manufacturing operations such as moving equipment, noise, fumes, vibrations, and dust. Shifts are 1st shift: 5:00am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday, and 2nd shift: 3:30pm – 2:00am, Monday – Friday. There is potential for mandatory weekend work and overtime based on business needs. PPE such as steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, respirators, gloves, and earbuds are provided.
NOTE: At this time, we are looking for candidates who are able to work 1st shift for 8 weeks before transitioning to 2nd shift for the remainder of their assignment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Evansville, Indiana.

The pay range for this position is $21.25 - $23.25
