Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$142,500 - $228,800

ML Research Scientist - Large Molecule Discovery

 

As a research scientist in Large Molecule Discovery, you will develop and implement generative AI models for therapeutic protein design. Ideal candidates will have the mathematical maturity to propose novel ML architectures and the programming skills to quickly implement and validate these ideas in-silico prior to wet-lab testing.

 

How You'll Succeed:

 

Design and implement enterprise-level generative AI models for protein drug discovery-

Collaborate with wet-lab experimentalists to validate models and designs in the lab

 

What You Should Bring:

 Familiarity with state-of-the-art ML models relevant for protein modeling: generative models (diffusion, flow-matching, etc), language models (transformers), multimodal learning, geometric deep learning, graph representation learning, SE3 equivariant architectures, etc.

Deep mathematical expertise: linear algebra, probability theory, optimization theory, group theory, (stochastic) differential equations, etc

Experience working with high performance GPU clusters

Superb communication and presentation skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

 

Your Basic Qualifications:

 

PhD in computer science, physics, mathematics, or related field

Relevant publications from top tier conferences/journals e.g. Neurips, ICML, ICLR, etc.

Strong programming and mathematical skill

Experience with python and ML relevant libraries especially pytorchs

 

Additional Information:

 

Position located in Indianapolis, Indiana working in a hybrid model

Up to 10% travel may be required depending on project

Previous expertise with protein modeling and biology domain knowledge are highly desirable, but not required
