Work hours: Full-time, 6:00am-2:30pm - Weekdays and occasional weekends.

Bachelor's Degree required. Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred. (Individual hired as a CLS II/CLS Ld prior to January 3, 2010 will be grandfathered to the MLS Lead position with existing education) Four (4) Years-experience in a medical laboratory required and Two (2) Years leadership experience preferred New instrument and assay implementation for Chemistry and Immunoassay; method performance Familiarity with the analysis of Linearity studies preferred Knowledge of IQCP development and maintenance preferred Understanding of sigma and patient risk-based quality control MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist required upon hire Or MLS - Medical Lab Scientist required upon hire Or AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology required upon hireWhat You Will Do
Texas Health Dallas Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist will maintain a working knowledge of continuous improvement and apply concepts and processes to the satisfaction of all accrediting agency requirements for the section:
Perform ongoing and periodic review of policies and procedures as defined by the Laboratory regulatory agency and revises as needed for compliance Maintain technical knowledge and use technical skills to participate in daily operation of the section Comply with safety, infection prevention, continuous improvement, and continuing education programs Provide leadership and communication links between the technical staff, the nontechnical staff, the managers, and the laboratory director Provide problem solving expertise and leadership skills in technical training, information systems and workload problems, Quality Control, and technical issues Participate and fulfill project assignments, facility changes, new methods, or instrument implementation Participate, as directed, in the development and/or maintenance of information system files and applications as required by the laboratory and section/cost center Manage resources within the guideline of the section/cost center budget and productivity indicatorsAdditional perks of being a Texas Health MLS
