This position focuses on strengthening alignment and streamlining processes across both campuses. The Assistant Director will oversee communication strategies for prospective students and applicants, manage application processing workflows, and ensure a comprehensive understanding of testing center functions. Additionally, the Assistant Director will act as a work lead in the Director of Recruitment and Admissions' absence. As a leader within the Admissions and Testing teams, the Assistant Director will guide important initiatives such as research, assessment, and continuous process improvement efforts. This includes overseeing internal and external communications, outreach/recruitment strategies, and operational tasks such as staff scheduling and training. As a critical member of the Student Affairs Division, the Assistant Director will contribute to college-wide student success and enrollment management efforts by participating in various committees, workgroups, and meetings where relevant, including but not limited to the Admissions Bold New Future Teams. This role requires close collaboration with Student Affairs, faculty, and academic departments to ensure the overall success of students, the department, division, and both Colleges, by way of programs/programming and event development. **Minimum Qualifications** + Two (2) years of professional experience in Admissions, Advising or other Student Services area; a bachelor’s degree may substitute for 1 year of professional experience, an associate’s degree may substitute for 6 months experience + Previous leadwork experience and/or demonstrated progressive workresponsibilities. + Strong oral and written communication skills. + Personal computing/technology skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office software; experience with and comfort utilizing multiple types of technology. + Demonstrated ability to create and deliver communications plans and reports and to provide data. + Strategic planning experience and excellent organizational skills and demonstratedability to plan, organize, and administer multiple activities and meet deadlines. + Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty with diverseperspectives and backgrounds and evidence of commitment to the success ofculturally, ethnically, and racially diverse learners. **Preferred Qualification** + Bachelors' degree and/or higher + Professional level experience working in higher education. + CRM (Salesforce, Retain, or similar platform) experience. + Experience with project management. + Ability to work well under pressure and respond to multiple demands. + Experience working with and knowledge of International Student admissions processes. **Other Requirements** In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check. **Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)** Monday - Friday; Day Shift (7:30am - 4:00pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm) Occasional evenings and weekend due events. **Telework (Yes/No)** No; May be eligible for future partial telework, based upon need of the department. **Application Procedure:** Please upload the following information with your application: + **Cover Letter/Letter of Interest** + **Current Resume** : Include dates of employment (month and year) for each position and Indicate average hours worked per week for each job. + **Transcript:** May be unofficial for review purposes **Internal Applicants** All current DCTC/Inver Hills employees will need to log into Workday to apply for the position via the Jobs Hub.
