Mobile Customer Service Rep - Cochlear Implant Ctr
**Description** Become part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 teammates, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities we serve. **Job Summary:** Works collaboratively to ensure accuracy and completeness of scheduled screenings and serves as the primary driver of the mobile medical vehicle. Assists with preparations and ongoing maintenance of the mobile medical vehicle such as ensuring overall cleanliness before, during, and after visits; performing equipment checks; maintaining inventory supplies; and performing other duties required to support the Mobile Medical Vehicle’s readiness to operate and to accept patient encounters. **Responsibilities:** 1. Works collaboratively to ensure accuracy and completeness of scheduled procedures. Consistently obtains accurate demographic information and utilizes system prompts to secure all relevant scheduling information. Requests appropriate comparison films and prior medical records when necessary. 2. Assists with patient registration and scheduling as needed. 3. Obeys all traffic laws. 4. Follow all Federal DOT Hours of Service Regulations, for CDL required vehicles. 5. Transports mobile medical vehicle to community events. 6. Attends community events and screenings without the mobile unit, as needed. 7. Performs necessary inspections of the vehicle before and after each route/scheduled visit/ activity. 8. Transports mobile medical vehicle for offsite maintenance appointments and fuel fill ups. Maintain fuel levels and PM schedule. 9. At onsite events: parks in a safe location, levels and un-levels mobile unit, starts generator, sets up and puts away steps, operates wheelchair lift if applicable for patient safety and performs any clean-up prior to leaving events. Facilitates check-in of patients at screening events, including explaining the screening process. 10. Works with coordinator and other mobile unit staff to ensure appropriate par level of supplies; transports supplies to mobile medical vehicle. 11. Keeps interior of the mobile medical vehicle clean and coordinates times for exterior to be clean. 12. Performs other duties as assigned. **Other Information** **Education Requirements:** + High School Diploma or GED required. **Licensure/Certification Requirements:** + CDL (if operating vehicle that requires CDL) + BLS preferred. **Professional Experience Requirements:** + Requires one (1) year of related experience or training. + Prefer experience in healthcare setting with exposure to patient registration or scheduling, or insurance authorization processes. + Requires exceptional customer service and organizational skills. + Medical terminology desired. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:** + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. + Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. + Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. + Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. + Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. + Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. + Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. + Ability to define problems, collect data or information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. + Ability to develop independent solutions. **Job Details** Legal Employer: STATE Entity: UNC Faculty Physicians Organization Unit: SOM-OHNS-Cochlear Implant Ctr Work Type: Full Time Standard Hours Per Week: 40.00 Salary Range: $18.20 - $25.86 per hour (Hiring Range) Pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity Work Assignment Type: Onsite Work Schedule: Day Job Location of Job: US:NC:Durham Exempt From Overtime: Exempt: No This is a State position employed by UNC Health Care System with UNC Health benefits.
