As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic, you’ll serve central Maryland and Washington, DC, bringing your expertise directly to our customers' locations with state-of-the-art tools and diagnostic equipment. Position Overview: As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic, your responsibilities will include: + Performing scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs) and minor repairs as identified during inspections + Completing DVIR write-ups (vehicle inspections) and addressing emergency breakdowns on-site + Making repairs to medium and heavy-duty trucks efficiently while maintaining high standards + Collaborating with the service desk to discuss vehicle issues and repair needs + Conducting routine maintenance, including oil changes, battery replacements, and lubrication + Test-driving vehicles to diagnose issues and ensure proper functionality + Staying current on warranty policies, vendor guidelines, and ensuring accurate completion of work orders Requirements + At least 2 years of experience with diesel mechanics, preferably with medium and/or heavy-duty trucks + Must have your own hand tools + A valid driver’s license + A high school diploma or equivalent + Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles + A working knowledge of computers and maintenance applications + Ability to work independently and efficiently, with excellent attention to detail + Ability to occasionally work Saturday hours as needed Benefits + Competitive Pay: $20 to $45 per hour based on experience, skills, and certifications + Technician Productivity Bonuses to reward your hard work + Toolbox Relocation Assistance to help with your tools if you're moving to our team + Paid OEM Training to keep your skills sharp and up-to-date + Paid ASE Certifications to enhance your qualifications + Boot Reimbursement to help keep you comfortable on the job + Comprehensive Benefits Package: + Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance + 401(k) Matching + Paid Time Off (PTO) If you're a skilled mechanic who enjoys working in the field and making a real impact on our customers' operations, apply now and join the Beltway Companies team in Frederick, MD.
