We’re looking for a Mobile Engineer who is passionate about building high quality mobile applications in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
As a Mobile Engineer at Bellhop, you’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing our applications used by our Bellhop workforce. We're looking for mobile developers that put user experience first. You'll have the opportunity to design and implement features in our apps which drive thousands of on-demand labor experiences connecting customers with our labor force. You'll work closely with our product team to understand how users interact and engage with our apps. We're looking to you to be the advocate for our mobile user experience.ResponsibilitiesContribute to design, implementation and maintenance of new products on both Android and iOS platforms.Contribute to broader architecture decisions for the native mobile application.Crafting readable, well-crafted and maintainable code.Build end-to-end features of the app: networking, persistence, business logic, and UI.Re-architect legacy code using the latest developments in the Android ecosystem.RequirementsExperience in both iOS and Android development4+ years experience in Java/Kotlin, having shipped an app to the Play Store and Apple App StoreSolid engineering and coding skills with an excellent understanding of basic data structures and asynchronous programming.Experience with reactive programming principles.Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (Kotlin Multi-Platform).Deep understanding of Android Studio and other android development tools.A commitment to continuous improvement for yourself, the mobile team and the engineering organization at BellhopFamiliarity with iOS app development, GraphQL, Fastlane and CircleCI for CI/CD and Firebase for performance monitoring.Compensation$115,000 - $125,000 salary (dependent on experience and location)Our Values While each member of our team has a specific, clearly defined role, we’re all connected by a strong set of values that’s been developed to build long-term relationships, foster advancement, and guide the decisions we make.
