Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $28 - $32 per hour

Responsibilities:

As a Mobile General Skilled Technician, you’ll be the go-to expert for maintaining business properties, ensuring they stay in top condition and helping clients avoid costly repairs. Operating from a fully-equipped service vehicle, you’ll handle general repairs, small service projects, and deliver inspection and maintenance programs. Your tasks will include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing various appliances, equipment, and building elements (walls, windows, doors, etc.). You’ll also support our trade-specific technicians with minor HVAC and plumbing services.

Key Duties:

Perform general repairs and small service projects Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with appliances and building elements Conduct inspections and maintenance programs Provide minor HVAC and plumbing support Communicate with customers to confirm requests and ensure satisfaction Adhere to safety procedures and building regulations

Skills and Expertise:

Proficient with power tools (drills, saws, etc.) Ability to provide repair estimates Strong safety practices

Qualifications:

Skills:

Proficient with tools and equipment (ladders, etc.) Polite, friendly, and professional demeanor Excellent customer service and focus Strong written and verbal communication Ability to read blueprints, plans, and diagrams Budget management skills Proficient with palmtop computers (cellphones, tablets) for work orders and communication

Experience:

Demonstrated experience in general repairs (painting, carpentry, plumbing) in the commercial market

Education:

Secondary school diploma or GED required Preference for trade school education in building-related courses Relevant training certifications are a plus

BGIS is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. BGIS has different pay ranges for different work locations within the United States which allows us to pay team members competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location.  

The salary range for this non-exempt position in the US is $28.00-32.00 per hour.

A candidate’s salary offer is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, certifications, licenses, and location.
