Mobile Mammography Coordinator

Responsibilities 

The Mobile Mammography Coordinator assists with overseeing the operational aspects of the mobile mammography program, including compliance, inspections, accreditation, and equipment and vehicle maintenance concerns. Serves as the primary contact for upcoming mobile coach events, works with Medical Imaging Scheduling team to fully utilize the resource, functions as a trainer, and reports employee training and performance concerns to Supervisor. The Mobile Mammography Coordinator functions as a working Mammography Technologist and Mobile Coach Driver as needed. Hours must be flexible with possible weekend hours.

Salary Range: $ 78,011 - $96,363 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.) 

 

Qualifications 

 
Education 

 
Required: High School diploma or GED from an accredited program. 

 

Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.    

 
Preferred: Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology 

 
Experience 

 
Required: 40 hours mammography training approved by the ARRT to meet the minimum initial FDA & TDH  

 

requirements for mammographers 

 

3-years’ experience in mammography or 2-year KSC experience 

 

Experience in mammography quality control 

 
Preferred: Experience performing stereotactic guided breast biopsies and/or DEXA 

 
License(s) 

 
Required: ARRT (R)(M)   

 

MRT- General Certificate 

 

BCLS certification through the American Heart Association 

 
Preferred: N/A 

 
Special Skills 

 
Required: Ability to use computer keyboard  

 

Working knowledge of mammography quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements 

 
Preferred: RIS experience 

 
Other  

 
Required: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills 

 

Ability to travel with mobile mammography coach to any location (within the Houston area) as scheduled 

 

Valid Texas Driver’s License 

 

Insurable driving record 

 
Preferred: Bilingual 

 

Commercial Driver’s License 

 

Working Environment: Other- Mobile Coach
