We are seeking a Mobile Mental Health Professional (MMHP) to join our team at 660 E. Erie Ave (Behavorial Health Unit) - Philadelphia, PA. This posting is for Full Time, Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 6:00pm.

 

Earn $30.02/hr.!

 

Position Details

The Mobile Mental Health Professional accompanies Crisis Intervention Trained (C.I.T) Philadelphia Police Officers in responding to mental health crisises in Philadelphia.

 

After police have secured the scene, the MMHP works with the individual and their community supports to assess and de-escalate a crisis, determine the level of care necessary to meet the individual's needs, develop alternatives to involuntary hospitalization through conducting assessments, treatment planning, counseling, and coordination of community care linkages and discharge process. 

 

This position does NOT work remotely and is community based. Additional responsibilities will include:

Providing triage, support, crisis counseling, information, and referrals for community members. Performing face to face level of care assessment and facilitating connections to appropriate level of care. Providing face to face crisis counseling and planning. Completing applications for involuntary commitment and arranging emergency psychiatric evaluation as needed.
