What would make you successful in this role? Strong customer service skills, previous venipuncture and/or fingerstick experience, ability to use a manual bp cuff, tech savvy and excellent communication skills.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform and record biometric testing results including, but not limited to height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, and BMI (Body Mass Index)Blood testing including finger stick and / or venipuncture blood draws in a fast-paced environmentPreparation of specimens for storage or additional processingSet up and break down portable blood draw / biometric station(s)May need to transport supplies to and from health screening events (lifting up to 20 lbs.)Maintains the logs and records for all Laboratory transactions and information in accordance with department and regulatory requirementsMust have morning availability (Monday-Friday) for event-based employmentMay require other duties as assignedEducation:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED is requiredCurrent national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR one of the following:Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands-on externship completedOver 100 successful finger sticks within the last year or a minimum of 200 successful venipuncture blood draws within the last 6 monthsActive state specific Phlebotomy certification is required for candidates performing phlebotomy in NV, CA WA, and LAExperience:
1 year of experience of Health Screening or Phlebotomy experience preferredKnowledge and Skills:
Have outstanding customer service skillsPunctual, responsible, and able to work with limited supervisionPossess professional demeanor and appearanceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPossess a strong attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-pace environmentAbility to show proof of professional credentialingMust be available to work a PRN, event-driven positionAbility to pass a full background check and drug screenMust have reliable transportationMust be computer / internet savvyKnowledge and skills necessary to collect blood samples from patients.Ability to work independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance withsafety and organizational policies and proceduresKnowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.Other Duties:
