Mobile Repair Technician
Job Description Mobile Repair Technician is responsible for the operation, repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical forklift operators. They work alongside 5-6 other mobile repair techs and are responsible for maintaining the safety, quality, and operations of the electrical vehicle plant. Overtime will be required for this role and will be extensive at the start of their new role as things progressed and training is completed the overtime hours will slightly reduce. Training will be done in the first 30-60 days of employment and will be working alongside your manager/supervisor. Responsibilities: - Identifying and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures in production equipment, including assembly lines, robotics systems, and industrial machines - Troubleshoot and repair wiring issues, short circuits, or faulty connections within the electrical system, ensuring that everything is operating within safe parameters - Properly inspect, maintains, and changes cylinders on various gases located in cylinder room - Maintain critical inventory needed to keep operations running maintains and accounts for tools used - Completes preventative maintenance as scheduled and record the same - Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and coworkers - Responsible for moving battery packs, frame components, motors, and other vehicles parts used in the EV manufacturing process - Loading and unloading shipments: Moving large and heavy parts like battery cells, chassis components - Ensure that forklifts are charged and maintained to keep them running efficiently - Inspect forklift batteries for wear, leaks, or any electrical issues before operating - Check and maintain hydraulic fluid levels in the forklift (slow lifts, leaks, or difficult in lifting loads) We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements Qualifications:  - 3-5 years of experience in a mobile repair role where they are operating, maintaining, repairing forklifts involving mechanical and electrical systems  - Strong experience operating the charging, monitoring, and maintenance of forklift batteries (experience operating a battery-powered or electric forklift)  - Experience with spot check and reporting issues with electrical connections such as battery cables, electrical connectors, or any other components that may be wearing out over time  - previous experience with material handling (transporting electric motors, EV batteries, or inverters using their forklift)  - Strong hydraulic system operation experience  - Strong customer service skills and ability to handle high pressure situations Must be comfortable with 2nd or 3rd shift.
