Position Purpose:
In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Mobility Technician assists with safe transfers and ambulation of patients identified by the multidisciplinary team. Maintains accurate and timely documentation, including barriers to meeting program goals. The purpose of this position is to facilitate early mobility to decrease deconditioning and fall risk, decrease pressure ulcers, decrease length of stay, decrease SNF utilization, and increase patient satisfaction.

· Meets population specific and all other competencies according to department requirements.

· Relationship-based Care: Creates a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care throughout their experience at Mount Carmel following the principles of our interdisciplinary care delivery system.
· (For patient care providers) Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®.
· Safely transfers and ambulates patients identified by the multidisciplinary team.
· Communicates with the care team regarding progress and/or barriers to meeting program goals.
· Responsible for compliance with Organizational Integrity through raising questions and promptly reporting actual or potential wrongdoing.
· All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent
· Licensure / Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
· Experience: One year of direct patient care experience preferred
· Effective Communication Skills
