Axient is currently seeking a Junior System Engineer with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience to support our customer in Dahlgren, VA at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD).

What you will do...Responsibilities:
The System Engineer will provide on-site MBSE support to the Axient customer, but not limited to:
Apply MBSE principles to the development of conceptual MBSE models of naval systems, at the system level and/or the integrated platform (ship, submarine, aircraft, etc.) level.Coordination with other MBSE model development partners at various warfare centers, Navy labs, and other DoD Contractor facilities.Define boundaries and Context for system architectures.Development of engineering documents.Maintain and update system design in MBSE tools. Skills you will need...Required Skills & Experience:
US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance.Bachelor or higher degree from an accredited university in systems engineering, electrical engineering, engineering, or computer science.Relevant educational experience in at least two (2) of the following areas:Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)Architecture EngineeringSystems EngineeringSoftware EngineeringModeling and SimulationRequirements EngineeringRequirements ManagementCombat System performance analysisTest and EvaluationWarfare AnalystPreferred Skills & Experience:
Systems engineering processes regarding weapon systems requirements/concept development, weapons systems design/engineering, systems computer program development, integration, information assurance, safety and engineering requirements.MBSE modeling methodologies (OOSEM, SYSMOD, Harmony-SE, etc.), architecture modularization, and ability to use and populate MBSE tools (Cameo, Rhapsody, System Architect, etc.).Knowledge or experience of SysML and DoDAF.Experience with Navy combat systems or complex System of Systems (SoS) architecture.Agile methodology.#CJ
