Model Based System Engineer
Job Title: Model-Based Systems EngineerJob Description We are seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. The Engineer will develop system modeling and simulation (M&S) solutions, perform engineering analysis, and provide results to inform strategic decisions for operations. The focus will be on the design, development, and integration of M&S products for the program, tackling a wide variety of challenges to develop solutions for all aspects of the current business. Responsibilities + Develop and maintain system modeling practices and methodologies. + Design and develop system models, prepare/validate data, perform and validate the modeling and analysis, communicate findings effectively, and provide actionable recommendations. + Collaborate with Leadership to oversee identification of M&S efforts and provide input to help design, monitor, and improve new and existing systems using M&S. + Support the development of overarching M&S and MBSE Strategy. + Evaluate risks and needs impacting future M&S development and integration work. + Manage projects to produce and update models/simulations on time. + Stay current with industry trends and incorporate industry best practices into modeling methodologies as appropriate. Essential Skills + Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/technical discipline. + 10+ years of work experience or equivalent education and experience. + 2 years of experience supporting systems engineering on large DoD programs. + Experience with systems engineering, SysML, and modeling software. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience spanning the Systems Engineering Lifecycle. + Experience with a broad array of engineering tools/languages, including MATLAB Simulink, No Magic Products, PTC Windchill, IBM DOORS, 2D/3D CAD, SysML, and/or JAVA. + Demonstrated self-starter with organizational, planning, and follow-up skills. + Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with others. + Willingness and ability to travel. Work Environment Engineering heavy environment with a state-of-the-art Digital Engineering lab. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $75.00/hr.
